When Spring Comes In

img_1579

Nature rejoices, clouds drift in the sky,

Bees buzz, vibrant colored butterflies,

The nightingale at dawn sweetly sings,

Heralding the arrival of the vibrant spring!

Flame of the forest lines the street,

Fiery wild orange flowers a treat,

Golden daffodils sway in the breeze,

Besides the brook, beneath the trees!

The cool breeze ruffled her silky hair,

All over her face, but she doesn’t care.

She loves the spring, a feast to the eyes,

A truly beautiful ethereal sight!

Spring, the festival of myriad of colors,

It’s the beginning of joy and harvest.

Marking the end of cold and upheaval,

Celebrating victory of good over evil!

Friends meet, drink and make merry,

The festival of love, celebrating Holi,

The ego and enmity, makes an exit,

They sing and dance, delightful the spirit!

Happiness comes in, when spring is near,

Relax and wipe your silent tear,

Earth comes to life, and brings in joy.

Colorful kites glide in the sky so high,

Fresh buds bloom, birds sing, doves mate,

Like irretrievable dreams in wonderland!
